Stephanie Vazquez

Steph Vazquez has been a professional Make Up Artist for over 20 years and has done everything you could possibly do as a Make Up Artist.  Her career started in Victoria’s Secret Beauty, where she was on the Opening Stores Team and worked the notorious Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.  From there she was recruited to work at Sephora in NYC as the Color Specialist for the next 4 years and managed a team of over 90 associates.  Moving up within her career she was then recruited to Smashbox Cosmetics serving as the Regional Training Executive for the East. Steph traveled to different retailers such as Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom and Macys training their employees on product knowledge, advanced artistry and technique. Steph Vazquez is the current Owner and Founder of Beauty Schooled, LLC, a Visual Arts school that offers classes for aspiring makeup artists, lessons for anyone that wants to learn how to do their own makeup and Artist Agency.

Steph is well traveled and loves adventure. Since her early childhood years, Stephanie always loved color. "I would say my favorite color was "Rainbow" because I couldn't pick just one. My love for cosmetics started when I was around 13 years old. I would always watch my older sister do her make up," explains Vazquez. "Make Up always made me feel better behind my thick glasses and blemishes. When it really comes down to it, I do make up to make people feel good."

As a Makeup Artist, Vazquez says she feels its instinctual to see beauty in everyone and in every self-expression. She strives to be a positive influence in the world and she does this best through makeup. Steph felt that there was a need for a different kind of Make Up School.  Her mission with Beauty Schooled is to eliminate the intimidation of doing yourself or someone else’s makeup and strives to make makeup application approachable for everyone.  She started Beauty Schooled in 2018 hoping to change the Beauty Industry.

Steph has worked with many photographers including Davis Factor, Steven Khan, Claire Sheprow, and Brian Silak. She has participated in NY and LA Fashion Weeks and worked on many projects from Goga's Fashion Show as Lead Artist for Project Runway, to Wyclef Jean’s Music Video “Down Easy.”  Steph has worked for networks such as ABC, Bravo, and currently at the MLB Network. She has worked on editorials for Conde Nast and photo shoots for the Sam Brocato Salon in Soho, NYC. Steph has worked awards shows such as the MTV VMA’s and has been published and featured in many magazines and blogs such as Real Simple, Allure and Vogue Runway.
